How to get to Busan from Incheon Airport via Bus

It was so hard for me to get information on how to get to Busan via bus so I thought of sharing this to you after experiencing my travel to Busan via bus.

This post will provide you steps on how to reach Busan directly from Incheon Airport via bus. My flight from Manila arrived in Incheon at 1010pm.

Steps:
1. To buy tickets, upon exiting the arrival area, turn left and go to Gate 4. You will see the ticket booth.(See Terminal 1 image below)
2. Ticket price is 46,000 KRW for the night bus (1-way).
3. Loading area is at Gate 11. (See Terminal 1 image below)
4. Last bus to Busan leaves at exactly 1130 pm.
5. Travel time is 4-5 hours.
6. Unloading area is Busan Central Bus Terminal which is at Nopo (Nopo-dong) station- End of Line1. (See Busan subway image- station is at the upper right)

Tips:
1. If you do not have Korean won, credit cards are accepted at the ticket booth.
2. There is an available money changer near the ticket booth.
3. Night bus have reclining chairs, foot support and USB chargers available per seat.
4.  If you are accompanied by someone, I suggest one person gets the baggage and another buys the ticket. Our flight arrived at 1020 pm. After a train transfer inside the airport, immigration and baggage pick-up, we managed to get our tickets around 1110 pm and rushed to Gate 11.
5. The Busan Central Bus terminal is also the loading area for buses going to Seoul. Price is 23,000 KRW- much cheaper than taking the train. Dropoff in Seoul is at Express Bus Terminal station which will also be the starting point if you will be going to Busan from Seoul.
6. Upon reaching Busan Central Bus Terminal go up to the 2nd floor and you will see the waiting area for the train. First train leaves at 5 am so you may wait instead of taking a cab to your accommodation.
7. For food, there are available convenience stores near the waiting area.

  2. Thanks for this post! I'm arriving at the Incheon Airport Terminal 2 at 7:15 AM and want to go directly from the airport to Busan. I was thinking about buying bus tickets in advance but since there might be delays on my flight it's probably safer to buy them at the ticket booth in the airport. One question: what's the bus company you're referring to in the post above? Thanks!

    1. I'm not sure for the company name but you can ask upon reaching the ticket booth.
