We left from Manila to Kalibo at 220 pm. Our ZestAir flight was originally scheduled at 1130 am but due to aircraft maintenance this was moved to a later flight. Unfortunately, there were no earlier flights available. We arrived 320pm in Kalibo and rode the Southwest Coaster Bus to the Jetty Port for 2 hours.

Waiting at the airport

We had to pay the terminal and environmental fee before boarding the boat. Upon reaching the dock there is a shuttle waiting for us to going to Club Ten.

We just fixed our stuff and were ready to have dinner since it was already 6pm when we arrived Boracay.

We had dinner at Manana which was just within walking distance to our hotel. They served Mexican dishes that were tastefully done.

We also had a few drinks at Bombom Bar before we decided to just buy at Budget Mart (convenience store located in D Mall) and drink at the hotel (Hey Jude) with some of our friends.

We had our buffet breakfast at Club Ten- Scrambled Eggs, Ham, Tapa, Mangoes, Bread and Rice were served before heading to the beach.

We stayed in front of Tibraz Bar and just need to buy at least one item from their menu to use their beach beds and umbrellas. We tried thair mango shake and it was indeed refreshing after soaking under the heat of the sun.

We had our lunch at Bite Club. The burgers where over priced for me but servings were big enough for two but not for the guys I think.

After lunch we stayed at The Tides were some of our friends were staying. The outdoor pool was located at the rooftop of the hotel. No one was using it since the sun was soaking hot and we were all not into the idea of getting toasted.

We also had a tour of  Fairways and Bluewater where another set of our friends were staying. There is a shuttle available at D Mall and after a 10-minute drive we are inside of the compound of this hotel. They have their own beach and pool. This place is ideal if you want to relax from the the noise of Station 1,2 and 3.

Since we were still full after eating at Bite Club we rested and went out at the Sand Bar to watch the popular fire dancing. The entrance was 299 consumable drinks and food.

We then strolled the beach after the show and headed to Juice Bar to continue our drinking session.

I woke up late due to hangover and the rest swam in front of Jonah's fruitshakes in Station 1. Five of us went helmet diving at a rate of 250 each including pictures and videos of the dive.

We had our lunch at Jonah's fruitshake. The food serving is small compared to its price. It is nice to have your shakes here but eating here is another story.

We also had our ATV and Buggy Car that afternoon at a rate of 300 per head. 5years old below were free of charge. We drove until reaching the Ocean Tower and paid an additional P150 for the entrance fee.

We woke up the next morning remembering to buy souvenirs. We walked from Club Ten to D Talipapa to buy cheaper souvenirs. Keychains and magnets cost 8 for 100 here compared to 6 or 7 for 100 souvenirs available at D Mall.

We decided to ride a tricycle going back and asked the tricycle driver to drop us at Real Coffee to buy calamansi muffins. Unfortunately, the muffins were not available until 130pm and we had to leave by 12 noon to catch our flight at 350pm.

We bought burgers at Army Navy so we have something to eat on the road to Kalibo.

The flight was again delayed for an hour. Our original flight was 350PM but left Kalibo Airport at 450 PM. At least we arrived safely. Goodbye Boracay! See you again soon!

Tips:
1. Ride a tricycle along the highway instead of renting those in line at D Talipapa if you are less than 6pax. Drivers in line charge P60 per ride while riding tricycles along the road will charge P10 per passenger.

2. Order Calamansi muffins at Real Coffee ahead of time. Ask what time they serve the muffin and reserve ahead of time. Muffins run out so fast.

3. Make sure ATV ride includes the service to the ATV/Buggy Station. Check with your contact that the boat needed for your beach activity e.g. helmet diving, banana boat, parasailing  is near where you are staying to avoid walking far before starting your beach activity.

4. Contact Mang Nino for Beach Activities: 09158722855

5. I stayed at Club Ten 4 times and they never fail to please me. The property is a 3 minute walk to the beach and their rooms are clean with good service from their staff. It is located near Starbucks, Army Navy, YellowCab. Contact Chase - 09173041217

Total Expense for the trip: P6831.79

  1. Hi! I'm having our Bora trip end of May and need some tips regarding the beach activities. Did you contact Mang Nino ahead before going to Bora or you just met him in Bora? Thanks in advance for your reply :) - Arleen

  2. I contacted him to inquire about the rates and packages ahead of time. Upon arrival in Boracay, I called him again to confirm that we will push thru with the beach activity.

  4. Hi! Nice itenerary and pics! I am so excited and planning for a vacation next year with my family that includes a 4year old and an infant. Trying to find a budget stay for a big family has been frustrating so far. I was wondering how was the computation for the hotel computed? Is it 7,500 for the whole stay for 7 persons or per night? Hoping for a 3nights stay with my family and your blog has hyped me up and i find so helpful

  5. That's 7500 per night divided by 7 pax.. :)

  6. For how many nights? It doesnt seem to add up to 3 nights..or am i just confused..

    ReplyDelete
  7. Oops my mistake. I multiplied the cost to 2 nights instead of 3.. That should be 1071 per night or 3214 for 3nights per head.. Hope this helps.

  8. Thanks for the itinerary. It only shows that anyone can go to Boracay, even on a very tight budget. Good thing there are plenty of low priced beach resorts in Boracay these days.

  14. It's a pity that a gorgeous place like Boracay has to be closed for preservation. Hence, I think travelers like us should raise our awareness of sustainable and responsible tourism.
