My Balesin Trip Overview

Why is Balesin the best luxury resort in the Philippines?

1. This is for members only. Guests can go if a member vouches for you (Special thanks to Anya Steve and Arcee). This will assure you that the island won't be congested even if you come during peak season.

2. Other luxury resorts will cost you P20,000 - P30,000 per night excluding airfare. I was able to go here (with the member's blessing of course) for P25,000 including airfare and a 3d2n 5-star accommodation. All rooms have its own veranda, daybed, couch, king bed, spacious bathroom, bedroom slippers, rubber slippers (they even ask for your size), unlimited CBTL coffee and tea. Other rooms have jacuzzi as well.

3. Balesin is not just one great place. It is going to 7 great places at a time. All villages has the best to offer. There is 1 more additional village (Balesin Royal Villa) that is targeted to be developed by September 2014. When you get to this place, you also get to choose the village you want to stay in.

4. As a frequent traveler, I get used to checking-in an hour prior to check-in and travelling for hours before reaching my destination. The travel here only takes 21 minutes via chartered plane.

5. Food here is not pricey like what I expected. They give value to your money.

I was already looking forward to going back even if I was still there! Browse through my pictures to see the island, though I assure you the island looks much better in person.

Trust me going here is worth it. We all deserve to be pampered. Splurging once in a while won't hurt. :)

Balesin Spa

The Balesin Spa is so elegantly made. The view itself is so relaxing. Most weddings are being catered here as relayed by their staff. Their spa has its own pool and massage rooms are made to look like small villas beside each other. It has a long pool which is 5 ft deep. This is indeed one of the best amenities of the island.

Balesin Clubhouse

This post will feature the most enticing place in Balesin. The Balesin clubhouse is one of the first villages built in the island. It is still equally comparable if not better than the other villages. I enjoyed their pool area as there were jacuzzi, sleeping mats, and a great view of the beach. This is the only island were we tried swimming on the beach. The sand was great same as with Boracay's white sand. We were enjoying so much I forgot to check what their rooms look like. Lol!

Balesin Island (Mykonos)

Let me take you to Greece. Welcome to Mykonos! This village in Balesin is most famous for all guests. The place looks better in person than in pictures. The famous Balesin Poseidon pool is located here which has 2 outdoor Jacuzzi. There is also a separate area in Mykonos which they call cove deck. Here you will see the their restaurant called Thanassis Taverna and 4 more outdoor Jacuzzi pools.

We were able to check the suite rooms here which can accommodate up to 8 people . There are 2 beds on the ground floor and a king size bed on the second floor. This room is just right in front of the pool.
