Yesterday I saw Kobe asleep and I thought of playing with him. I missed doing this since I was always busy doing other things and was always away from home. He was not the same playful dog I knew. He lay on the floor and was just looking, staring at me. I removed his fleas and was talking to him saying his old and was even scolding him why he had fleas. Before I left to work, this morning, I saw him lying in a weird way. His body was flat and I even thought he must be dead- but he can't be. So I just kissed his forehead and said goodbye. I was late for work and was in tears while walking away. This afternoon I learned that he was dead. Our companion, the tanggal-stress doggie is now with his mom Bellie and brother Beany. I'll miss those moments when you come in my room and I would tell you to go away, but you tend to sneak back when I'm asleep. Thanks for the 11 years of lambing and love you showed our family. If dogs could only be legally adopted and have surnames of their own, I'm sure you would have the same surname as ours.. Rest in peace Kobe :(
